Frequently Asked Questions

TOUCH TEK:

1. The panel is acting strange or not responding:

    If multiple panels are installed, make sure panel addresses are different.

    Check cable between panel and PDC

 

2. Panel does not power up (Not even backlighting works):

    Check for 12v on Red wire at panel end of cable.

    Check 3A fuse on PDC.

    Make sure initial post-programming steps were run:

                        1. Apply ignition signal

                        2. Set all dip switch banks to OFF position

                        3. Set all dip switch banks to ON position

                        4. Set all dip switch banks to OFF position

                        5. Panel should power on

    Make sure the grey RIA connectors at both ends are properly seated on the posts.

    Check Power and Ground on the PDC

 

 3. System does not power up:

     Ignition signal needs to be a 12v signal that is present when truck is ON

     Check 3A fuse on PDC

     Check Power and Ground connections

 

 4. Output is indicating fault but fuse is good (TT6 only):

     Make sure fuse position has been saved correctly.

                        1. Place good fuses in desired location for 12v or Gnd output

                        2. Apply Power and Gnd to main terminals

                        3. Activate Ignition and Neutral signals

                        4. Press and hold buttons 3 and 5 on switch panel.  This will save the current positions                              for future error checking

 

 5. Outputs are acting strangely or not as expected:

     Check dipswitch settings for proper position

     Check fuse/breaker position for proper output polarity setting

 

6. If a button beeps and flashes what does that mean?

    Likely a fuse is blown or a breaker has been tripped.

 

EAGLE EYE:

7. Is Eagle Eye a camera or a laser system?

    Neither, Eagle Eye is actually ultra-sonic. 

 

8. How many sensors do I need?

   This depends on the size of your vehicle and other variables.  Every vehicle varies.
